Max’s Restaurant – How Pinoy Are You?
On 11th June 2017, BRAVE and Max’s Restaurant came together to celebrate the 119th Philippines Independence Day by hosting a media quiz night.

BRAVE saw the opportunity of strengthening media relations and paving friendships by inviting Local Filipino media to participate in a quiz night. Media publications such as Illustrado, The Filipino Times, TAG FM, Kabayan Weekly and Tatak Pinoy participated in teams by competing against one another to determine who are the masterminds of all things pinoy.

The quiz comprised of 20 questions on all things Filipino such as traditional cuisine, history, geography and music. Two mystery box challenges stirred up more competition as the teams had to guess the contents of a secret gift box in order to win more points. All five teams enjoyed a fun evening in the company of their colleagues, friends and family members with heated competition followed by delicious food.

Max’s first ever quiz night was a great hit, truly showcasing the enthusiasm and competitive spirit between all the teams.  The Filipino Times won with a whopping 55 points in total. Team members Henri Abenis Macahilo and Darwin Q. Quinones were the proud winners of a large gift hamper and a Max’s restaurant voucher worth 1000 AED. Macahilo from the winning team commented afterwards saying that “the quiz brought back the nostalgia of competing in my high school days and I realized I still have that competitive spirit”.

The quiz night also gained significant social media coverage as Tatak Pinoy covered the event live on Facebook, documenting the excitement of a true Filipino celebratory experience.

At BRAVE, it is important to us to maintain our unique approach and close client relations. Therefore, by fostering an environment for not only our colleagues to enjoy but also Max’s staff and Filipino media, we were able to create stronger relations and long lasting friendships.
